Leaving care grant

We will provide you with a leaving care grant. If this is accessed after 1 April 2023 this will be up to the value of £3,000 to decorate and furnish your home.

The grant is a contribution to help you buy everything you might need when moving into your first home.

Try and choose items that you really need from the recommended items list.

At times you may need items of furniture before you move onto independent living. Your PA will help you decide which items you will need, such as white goods, crockery, beds, curtains etc. from a list of recommended items.
