Gateshead libraries

Gateshead Council's Library Service consists of a combination of council run libraries, a Readers at home Service and community libraries operated by volunteers.

Gateshead Central Library is Gateshead's largest library. It provides a wide range of services and activities and includes specialist services such as the Gateshead Archive and the Sound Gallery.

Our libraries are open for the selection of books and computer use.
